Peter Olfe and Tora (which means Tiger in Japanese) are park regulars, visiting up totwice per day. They met through an online "dating site" (petfinder.com), saving Tora from an early demise in Shasta County. Tora offers a hearty "Yo!" to his afternoon crew (Ruff, Amber, and Yasmin), and to his morning tugbuddy, Rookie. |

Tony Varnhagen was careful to point out that he (along with Karen and Nathan Varnhagen, not pictured) see themselves as Guardians for Roxanne, not owners. Also going by the names of "Rox" and "Annie", she was about 3 years old in July 2005 when she joined the Varnhagens from the Santa Clara Humane Society. The third time was the charm for Rox, as she was twice previously adopted out and returned - once because she wasn't yet house-broken, and once for chasing the goats on a farm. Rox comes to the park once or twice a day. She loves to chase Jovi -- and generally chase any dogs who are chasing balls. |

In Loving Memory Dear Friends: It is with great sadness for me to let you know that Clicquot was euthanized at home yesterday. He was suffering from stomach cancer; he was 10 years old. He was my only constant companion for the past nine years, through some of the best and worst times of my life. Clicquot was a very good dog and was indeed my best friend -- always loving, loyal, protective, patient, fun. I am so grateful he was part of my life. I will miss him terribly. Regards, |
